Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us, and we want you to feel comfortable using our website and the ECOS® Emergency ID System. Our privacy policy, which is described below, lets you know how we collect, use and protect information about you.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

When you browse our website, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as your internet protocol (IP) address (this address does not identify your name, email address or other personal information), your browser type, and referring/exit pages. We collect this information to help us improve our website by analyzing trends, tracking a user’s movement around the site, and gathering demographic information.

We also collect non-personally identifiable information through the use of cookies. A cookie is a small data file stored by your web browser on your computer. This data allows us to enhance the experience of using our website. For example, cookies help us compile data about website traffic and website interaction, and enable our website to recognize you when you return.

The important thing to keep in mind is that your identity will remain unknown to us unless you tell us who you are. In other words, you can visit our website anonymously if you so choose.

Personal Information – Registration

When you register on our website, we request your email address. We request this so that we can complete the registration process. You must be at least 13 years of age to register on our website. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Personal Information – ECOS® Emergency ID System

The purpose of the ECOS® Emergency ID System is to provide certain personal information about you to medical personnel and others who access your Emergency ID Profile by scanning the QR Code on your Emergency ID (“EID”) or by entering the EID Number on your EID on the "Emergency Personnel Assistance" page of our website. It would defeat the purpose of the ECOS® Emergency ID System if the information in your Emergency ID Profile was secured by a password or other means. Thus, the information in your Emergency ID Profile is not secure – it can be accessed by anyone who scans the QR Code on your EID or who enters the EID Number on your EID on the "Emergency Personnel Assistance" page of our website.

However, you have complete control over the information that appears in your Emergency ID Profile. You create your own Emergency ID Profile during the set-up process, and you may modify it at any time through the “My Account” section of our website. You also may deactivate the link between a QR Code and your Emergency ID Profile at any time through the “My Account” section of our website (which is something we recommend that you do if you lose an EID).

Email

The email address you provide during registration will be used to complete the registration process. In addition, we may send you emails from time to time telling you about new products or services, or changes to products or services. If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, simply click the “unsubscribe” link contained in each email.  You may change your email address at any time through the "My Account  – Admin" section of our website.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Except as set forth below, we do not sell or rent your personal information to others. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you. We may release your personal information if we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law or legal process, or to protect our rights or the rights or safety of our customers, employees or others. If ECOS LLC is sold, customer information will likely be one of the transferred assets.

Third Party Sites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We provide these links for your convenience. However, we do not have control over these sites or their privacy policies and, consequently, you should carefully review the privacy policies of these third party sites.

Your Consent

By using our website, you consent to our privacy policy.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may change our privacy policy from time to time at our discretion, so we encourage you to check our policy on an ongoing basis so you are aware of the current terms. Our privacy policy was last modified on November 2, 2014.
